4C Alpha Concept, that's the name of the great surprise of the mark transalpina for this edition of Geneva. This is a super compact high performance with aesthetic beauty to which we are accustomed to Alfa. A few years ago developed the Alfa 8C Competizione, a true work of art stock. Now, Alfa takes this experience and expertise to develop, so to speak, its compact version, 4C Concept.
We are in a compact coupe-about four meters rear-drive two-seater with engine in central position. Inherits much of the technological capital of the 8C Competizione-carbon, aluminum, rear-drive above and adds elements of new wave of the mark, as the 1750 turbo gasoline engine, changing the TCT and the double clutch system to protect the DNA dynamic characteristics of the car.
This 4C Concept highlights the excellent power to weight ratio -4kg/CV- that results from the combination of their 'diet in carbon and aluminum, which make it on the scale to around 850 kg, and 200 hp . The engine that encourages the 4C concept has been used in some model of the Italian brand, such as the Giulietta Alfa Quadrifoglio Verde, and is noted for its performance: 0 to 100 km / h in under 5 seconds and a top speed 250 km / h.
The dynamic behavior is one of the areas where more work was done on this Alfa. Thus, adopting a suspension system art - 'a quadrilateral high' McPherson front and back-with a weight distribution of 40/60 percent. Alfa has confirmed that this model will not just be a mere exercise in style and will appear as a production vehicle in 2012.
