AMG Driving Academy with the SLS GT3

This season, participants of the AMG Driving Academy with the new SLS AMG GT3 know the limit. In level "master" only this vehicle will be used. The modular SLS AMG GT3 Masters consists of four levels: Experience, Warm-Up, Training and Competition. In the three-hour experience, participants start with a guided driving in the road version of the SLS AMG.

After an introduction and seating test, they experience the SLS AMG GT3 at the wheel, here they are ahead by a vehicle safely on the race course. The participants then take in the experience of a professional racer piloted SLS AMG GT3 racing taxi seat and enjoy some fast laps in the passenger seat including a video recording.

In the second stage, the warm-up, participants receive a detailed theoretical introduction to the technology and operation of the GT3. After a health check, participants in the subsequent training hard to make familiar with the racing version of the Gullwing: The program includes acceleration, braking, shifting overtaking, handling, and various exercises on each sport tires.

Residents of Germany also purchase a national DMSB drivers license. In stage three, the Traing, the SLS AMG GT3 first on sport tires, then later on frameless slicks. Participants train with an experienced personal trainer, they book the hour. The focus is on the systematic optimization of the personal skills such as cornering, perfect braking, acceleration and shifting.

Professional data-recording and video recording are used to consistently improve the driving technique on a racetrack. The highlight is the competition, which is expected to begin in late 2012: After a race track complete specific training, the participants are the first stages, then follow the individual and team competition.

Participation in all Masters events is possible with information provided or own SLS AMG GT3 cars. Prices start at 1500 €. While there are no specific experience in the requirements for participation, the participants have the other three stages have completed appropriate training track.
