Audi A3 Concept - Geneva Motor Show Live 2011

Audi A3 Concept in Geneva has, in addition to standard models RS3 and Q5 Hybrid. Having introduced the conference reciting the sales figures and highlighting the growing success of the brand of the 4 rings, the German management wanted to quickly introduce the Q5 Hybrid, equipped with the 2.0 TFSI engine coupled to an electric motor for a total of 245 hp and 480 nm, capable of providing an average consumption of 6.9 l/100 km, traveling up to 100 km / h in electric mode only.

The RS3 was instead presented by former rally driver Michele Mouton and stressed the continuity between the first Audi Quattro Sport 1980 and the new RS3, equipped with the 2.5 turbo 5-cylinder with 340 hp and 450 Nm After a brief interlude of singer Amy McDonald, the car most anticipated: the A3 Concept.

The prototype presented has the difficult task of renewing the image of anticipating the Audi A3 hatchback variant nell'inedita, 4.44 meters long. A task, said, difficult, because the current Audi design has achieved excellent results but also some "approval" among the various models. The Concept A3 has a sign in front of the renewed tradition, but mostly introduces new elements such as handles, the proportions of the posts even more sharp and especially its interior is even more essential.

The message is that of lightness and research materials (as evidenced by the total weight of 1540 kg of car), but also factors such as the MMI system and the bridge of the automatic transmission (now with no lever) were reviewed. A3 The Concept is equipped with the 2.5-liter 5-cylinder turbo TFSI in a brand new version of 300 KW and 530 Nm of torque, paired with 7-speed gearbox and quattro STronic.
