Audi quattro four-wheel drive hybrid will become

Beyond the various design differences, the rationale will be that dell'HYbrid4 Peugeot-Citroën: to obtain by combining all-wheel drive electric motors and heat up the rear end and front end. Audi is working on this kind of solution to develop its future in the four-wheel drive and four-tron. The German manufacturer has already prepared a forklift on an A5, the French Automobile Magazine have been trialling on ice and snow.

The car features traction-tron and four concealed under his coat, an electric motor from 45 hp to 82 hp at the front and one rear, matching the 2.0 TFSI 211 hp. Faced with a maximum power of 320 hp, fuel consumption declared by the prototype for this, amount to a surprising value of 2.7 l/100 km of diesel, which will be virtual as you like, but is at least an idea of the potential system.

According to the head of the Alps, the actual consumption of this plug-in hybrid would be in the order of 7 l/100 km, however, considerable value for a sports car with over 300 hp and four-wheel drive. Audi-tron and four major technical characteristics of the four-tron and does not end well.

The termination of the drive shaft, it was possible to fit in the same position, the lithium-ion battery pack, placed it in the longitudinal direction and in such a way as to centralize as much as possible to the masses, to the benefit of the dynamic equilibrium. The model, for the record, is able to march for 40 km relying solely on electric propulsion.

Thanks to the presence of two electric motors instead of a single, four-tron system and can also count on exemplary skills in terms of energy recovery. The adoption of the four sports rear differential, which also offers the function of torque vectoring, also provides stability and agility to any test.

According to people who tested a S5 with the rear differential would not be able to keep up with this prototype.
