Automobile Museum reopens

Admits to not being a great driver and have only driven cars for this reason manageable and reduced capacity. Yet the new Lancia Thema is worth an exception: "It 's beautiful. Appearance can use it. " The President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano opened with these words his morning Turin dedicated to engines and expenditure between the Lingotto and the new National Automobile Museum, which opened Saturday, March 19 after a four-year hibernation after a complete renovation.

The new exhibition, dedicated and now chaired by his nephew Giovanni Agnelli Lapo Elkann has received assistance for a total of 33 million euro in its first weekend opening drew 9,203 visitors well. The new layout has been edited by the designer François Confino (formerly called to reorganize the Museum of Cinema), and the restyling of the exterior spaces has been given to the architect Cino Zucchi, which doubled the exhibition space (19,000 sq m) compared the previous 11,000 square meters.

The exploratory path is developed in thirty sections of over two hundred cars, the first steam-powered dating back to 1769 until the final prototypes (including Alfa Romeo 4C), the flagship car at the post-World War II to the Fiat 500 led by President Sandro Pertini. Very interesting section dedicated to the main designer and the respective "questionnaire" that reveal the cars most representative, tell the first job and reveal what they wanted to design cars.

The Automobile Museum is open on Monday with 10-14 hours, with time on Tuesdays 14-19, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 10 to 19 on Friday and Saturday and from 10 to 21. Tickets cost amounts to € 8 coupons for interior, 6 € and 2.50 € for reduced tickets for schools.
