The first race of the Formula 1 season in Melbourne in 2011 saw the victory of Sebastian Vettel to Red Bull, followed by Lewis Hamilton and McLaren from Renault at least quoted Vitaly Petrov. The Ferraris were not able to go further, as was guessed by the qualifications, the 4th place of Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa of 9th place.
The Australian Grand Prix marks the introduction, in addition to the KERS, Kinetic Energy Recovery System, including the DRS, the drag reduction system. The race was dominated by German Sebastian Vettel who has inflicted a gap of 22 seconds over Hamilton English. Vettel has not been attacked despite the waltz of the pit stops that started on lap 12.
The most exciting challenge of the Grand Prix in Melbourne was that Massa, who will also mark the fastest lap in 1'28''947''', and the final one between Button and Alonso and Webber for 4th place.
