Ford, Alan Mulally: "Will they survive only six groups"

In 2011 the world market for automotive sector is expected to grow by 10%. To say it is the president and CEO of Ford, Alan Mulally, who expected to be sold worldwide between 75 and 85 million cars which would be a breath of fresh air in an industry that has gone through at least two years of severe crisis.

"Be careful, though," points out a number of the company founded in 1903 "because the future will bring in new industry cluster, to the point that a few years there will a maximum of 6 teams that will produce automotive car all over the world trying to make a point useful and not to make up the numbers.

" Meanwhile, Ford ended the 2010 budget with the best view of the first decade of the century, with net profits reached $ 6.6 billion. It does so without resorting to heavy subsidies that the White House gave the rivals GM and Chrysler fail to prevent them. On this occasion, Mulally - former head of Boeing's tip - also spoke of the business programs and the future of the automobile in the United States where "the Fiat 500 will find it hard to emerge because they do not think there's room for a car so small, despite the price of petrol is increasing, and users seek low fuel consumption models.

But I think to a larger number of electric motors, perhaps combined with those with petrol: in 2020 I believe that the hybrid will emerge, which could come to represent 25% of total new registrations. "In this new landscape U.S. and international, Ford will focus particularly on its historic brand, having sold Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin and Volvo, to use a single platform and unique components for at least 85% of the models in production.
