Ford is at the Geneva Motor Show (public days: 3-03.13.2011) the first time a plug-in hybrid in Europe: the C-Max Energi. He comes to coincide with the equally new hybrid C-Max 2013, the market. It allows up to a speed of 70 km / h of pure electric driving. The Ford C-Max always starts in electric mode.

Only when the energy of the lithium ion battery is depleted or a higher power need to add on the internal combustion engine and the entire system will switch to conventional hybrid mode. The electricity to recharge the battery is located between the driver's door and the front wheel arch.

If the connecting cable connected to the mains, a light strip runs twice around the plug and in this way shows the correct connection. Subsequently, the optical signal to the shape of squares: lighting it rhythmically, has begun charging the vehicle. The more shine this light squares permanently, the greater the charging progress.
