Geneva 2011: Lamborghini Aventador makes 700 hp

Lamborghini at the Geneva Motor Show (1st-03.13.2011) the all-new LP revealed Aventador 700-4. The successor of the Murciélago has a new twelve-cylinder engine with 6.5 liter displacement and 515 kW / 700 PS. The vehicle with a power to weight ratio of only 2.25 kilograms per hp accelerates in 2.9 seconds from zero to 100 km / h.

The top speed is 350 km / h. The maximum torque is 690 Newton meters at 5,500 revolutions per minute. Consumption and CO2 emissions are 20 percent lower than the predecessor. The new Lamborghini has a number of passengers which is made entirely of carbon fiber-reinforced plastics. The monocoque weighs only 147.5 kg.

The Aventador is 4.78 meters long, 2.26 meters wide, including mirrors and 1.14 meters high. At high temperatures and increased cooling requirements of the engine, open the rear wheels via electronically controlled additional Ansaugschächte. The optional transparent engine cover is also the Aventador a view of the engine, which transfers the force of a double-clutch transmission to all four wheels.

Inside, a red flap secures on the wide center tunnel of the start button. Like a modern aircraft, the instruments are displayed on a TFT-LCD flat panel liquid crystal display with innovative concepts. A second screen is the standard multimedia and navigation system. The first Lamborghini 700-4 Aventador LP be delivered in late summer 2011.
