As it was obvious that to happen, the tragedy of the earthquake that struck on Japan also had an impact in the world of auto makers. In fact, the giants of the Japanese brand, namely Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Subaru, have decided to discontinue production of their cars in the facilities of the earthquake-stricken areas.
The stop of production in these factories may lead to consequences in exports to the United States, especially with respect to certain models. These models are: Toyota Yaris sedan, Scion xB, Scion xD, Honda Fit (Jazz from us), Honda Accord sedan and Honda CR-V. The economic losses which might occur at Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Subaru may be in the order of several million dollars.
