Japan: No damage at Mazda

The severe earthquake which occurred early Friday morning Central European Time in the north-eastern Japan, and the ensuing tsunami in the north have led to considerable damage. The corporate headquarters and production facilities by Mazda in Hiroshima are about 1,000 kilometers southwest of the affected areas removed.

There are no reports of damage at Mazda. Although the quake was also felt there was no one injured and a break or stop the production are not required. "Even if we assume that it is north of some dealerships have come from Tokyo to damage, the Mazda plant and the employees after all we know at present, in security," said Jeff Guyton, President and CEO, Mazda Motor Europe.

"Our thoughts are with the people in the affected areas and we hope that they will help you."
