Maserati Quattroporte will be presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show?

As reported by Inside Line, Maserati could present its next generation of its flagship the Quattroporte, already at the Frankfurt Motor Show, scheduled for September. The new large sedan, therefore, could arrive before two highly anticipated new entries of the Trident: the model of segment E and the new SUV with which it aims to dramatically expand the pool of existing customers.

The business purpose of the Modenese manufacturer is to achieve sales in the order of 20,000 units a year. In 2010, Maserati sold 5675 cars, but also records going back to 2008 when the Trident delivered nearly 8600 specimens, there are very distant from the target figures quoted. Thus clear that to achieve it, the expansion of the range is nothing short of necessary.

The heir of the Quattroporte, internally designated as M156, will be faithful to the style of the GranTurismo and GranTurismo in range and probably will keep the current 4.7 V8, duly revised and improved, not least in terms of fuel consumption and emissions. There will, however, new propulsion units to enrich the offer.

According to reports appearing in the American newspaper, returns to the next Maserati Quattroporte on the market, moving it up in terms of pricing and content "make room" And the new sedan segment, known as project M157. This new model, if that is going to do with Mercedes E-Class and BMW 5 Series, is currently under development, but it could be born only in 2013 and in 2012 as it seemed rather certain.

Should be noted however that it always speaks of rumors, all to see.
