Pininfarina: ends in 2013, the joint venture with Volvo

Enter in the possession of the Volvo Uddevalla plant in Sweden thanks to an agreement with Pininfarina S. p. A. The Italian company had in fact created in 2003, the Pininfarina Sverige AB joint venture giving rise to the establishment for the construction of Volvo cars. This step will also involve all employees in the establishment and will take place in 2013.

Currently the plant produces the Volvo C70 with a retractable hardtop, which could be replaced in future by a similar version of the S60. This decision confirms the will of Pininfarina to diversify their activities than before, as confirmed by the same CEO Peter Silvio Angori in the official press release: In fact, the company will focus on design services and engineering and sustainable mobility with the project's Nest EV Cecomp and collaboration with the Bolloré Group and for the production of electric cars in the establishment of Bairo Canavese.

The purpose of this Joint Venture is in fact after the transfer of facilities Grugliasco De Tomaso to Rossignolo.
