Renault R-Space, sports van

Within the strategy called "Renault 2016 - Drive the Change" is included a shift in the design of the French brand, a change of direction as the R-Space concept car shows this year's Geneva Motor Show 2011. The Renault R-Space brings forward the emotional design language that Renault adopted gradually in the coming years.

This is a minivan that combines bold theoretical aspects contradictory, such as sportiness, practicality and suggestive forms of his body. The front seats of the cabin are designed to enjoy driving, while the rear is transformed into an ideal space for children. The absence of a central pillar and the type of door opening allows better access to the futuristic interior.

His mechanics are a clear example of the current trend toward downsizing, which reduces the size of the motors to reduce fuel consumption without sacrificing power. It is an engine based on the new line of propellers Energy TCe with direct fuel injection, three-cylinder 900 cm3 of displacement, supercharged by a turbocharger.

Makes 110 hp and CO2 emissions are 95 g / km. To make the most of its efficient engine, transmission, dual clutch is used EDC. Its size, length 4,250 mm, 1,850 mm wide and 1.547mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,717 mm, which straddle the boundary between the Renault Modus and Scénic and give us clues to what could be a future sports van half (do you think maybe compete with the Opel Meriva?).

Its performance so portend: 0 to 100 km / h in 11 seconds and a top speed of 200 km / h.
