Roadmap for the Future of Transport 2050: The European Union plans the mobility of next year

Yesterday, March 28, 2011, the European Commission met to assess the best plan Roadmap for the Future of Transport 2050, a project that aims to reduce by 60% (compared to 21 years ago) over the next forty years, emissions CO2. If this plan were to be realized, the historic centers of cities would see the cars disappear propelled by an engine, while about half of the journey between two points at a minimum of 300 km in length should be covered by train.

It is also expected by 2030 to encourage use of public transport by halving the use of the car to turn, thus decreasing the victims of road accidents. Immediate reaction of consumer groups, especially the British, who have called the plan Roadmap for the Future of Transport 2050, just a pipe dream as well as a folly, Christopher Monckton - Ukip Transport - commented on the EU's plans: "I European Union leaders must live in an alternate reality, where you can spend billions upon billions of Euros and prevent citizens from using their cars.

"In fact in the opinion of Monckton, the Roadmap Plan for the Future of Transport 2050, would be a madness from an economic standpoint, because it would cost over 3.5 trillion euros to be implemented, as well as the heads of Ford Motor Company it was rejected.
