Skoda VisionD in Geneva back to the future

A new era for Skoda. Under the spotlight in Geneva appear to be the concept car that sums up the new design of Mlada Boleslav. After the development of which the mark has become the protagonist in the last 20 years and the positive sales performance in 2010 marked the automaker czech set new goals, including one to double global sales by 2018.

Skoda, to highlight even more this "green wave" of development, has created the concept for Geneva VisionD characterized by precise and definite forms, from the meticulous attention to detail and an important innovation: the new logo for the layout cars, which will be introduced from 2012.

Here the black background defines the contours of the Freccia Alata chrome. Compared with the current design, the new logo for the cars there will be no room for the crown of laurels, neither the written Skoda. The traditional logo has been reworked for global communication. The Freccia Alata is larger and more visible, the color was gone from the coolest Skoda Green Nature Green.

The wing edges are enhanced by the presence of chrome detailing. The word "Skoda" is now clearly visible in the center. The new design will also be used for the sales network: in the latter case, the architecture and layout of the Skoda showroom will be updated. VisionD are highlights of the long wheelbase and short overhangs front and rear.

Details not purely stylistic, but which allow a better exploitation of the internal volume for the benefit of habitability. At the same time make it more dynamic upper body that can take advantage of a larger glass area. The structure of the door confirms features typical of Skoda giving practical use in everyday life.

The calendar is characterized by an alternation of glossy and matte elements that highlight the sophisticated style of this prototype. The new logo stands out in the middle, interrupting the horizontal line of the bonnet and is the starting point for all lines of the car. The headlights give the front looking VisionD a simple yet emotional.

The rear lights to "C" have become a hallmark of the Freccia Alata for each car. The clarity and precision which characterize all the body parts are also found in the cockpit of VisionD. Typical values, space functionality, are accomplished through a very delicate proportion, thanks to a careful selection of materials and elegant forms.
