Tata: Nano later this year will be exported

The Tata Nano is preparing to cross the borders of India, as revealed by some suppliers of the manufacturer, Ratan is preparing to deliver by the end of 2011 his "people's car" in the markets of Thailand, Sri Lanka and many African countries . As revealed by a manager of a major supplier to Tata Wall Street Journal, "the house may start exports by December with a small initial set of 1000".

"The markets are very similar in looks to India and have similar needs. For this Tata will not have to make major changes to the Nano, "said the manager. The Indian manufacturer, which until recently had also targeted Europe, no longer speaks for a long time about his plans to bring the Nano in the Old World, even if he has made a version of pre-specified set for our needs.

"Tata Nano has always known that India would have been appropriate for other markets," says a spokesman for the home. Unlike Europe, the countries of Africa and South-East Asian countries have strict regulations in terms of fuel consumption, emissions and safety. So in those markets, the biggest challenge for Tata will be the creation of a network of sales and service.

The huge Indian company, whose activities cut across many sectors, may still offer a solution in-house distribution of the Nano: Tata manufactures and sells industrial and commercial vehicles, and can easily sell his small lean to stores of the means mentioned above.
