Toyota FT-86 II concept almost standard

At the Geneva Motor Show was presented to the Toyota FT-86 II, an evolution of Japanese coupe concept presented at the Tokyo Motor Show 2009. According to the indications given by the experts, the style and lines of the concept presented in Switzerland are very close to those of the model that will go into production in 2012.

It looks bad enough, with the muzzle which dominate aggressively on the long and narrow upper headlights and the LED lights integrated into two vertical side vents that surround the big grille with a honeycomb design. The rear lights from the long, narrow, the small spoiler on the trunk and the large lower diffuser from which emerge the two large tailpipes.

The FT-86 II is 4,235 mm long, 1,795 mm wide, 1,270 mm high and with a wheelbase of 2,570 mm. Certainly not a big coupe, with measures very similar to the legendary Celica, the sporty which the Ft II-86 wants to be the heir. The Japanese technicians have managed to maintain the low center of gravity, in order to get a good grip.

The engine is a 2-liter Subaru boxer of origin, while the drive is back, as befits a car like that. The transmission is a classic 6-speed manual.
