Audi four-wheel drive hybrid in the near future

Audi is studying a method for four-wheel drive through the work of combined heat and electric motor. The project, still under development, will be shown on future Audi and four-tron. To date, Audi has built a forklift on an A5-wheel drive and four-tron which has a 45 hp electric motor positioned on the fore and one of 82 horses at the rear.

They work together with the 2.0 TFSI with 211 hp. In total, therefore, the Audi four-tron and has an output of 320 horsepower and consumption forecast is staggering: 2.7 liters of fuel per 100 km. Audi's engineers have removed the drive shaft and was fitted with a pack of lithium-ion batteries in the longitudinal direction, a feature that enables greater dynamic equilibrium.

As-tron and the Audi will have two electrical units, the system e-tron will have interesting news about the recovery of energy. So far, the biggest problem was the weight of the car, which is over 1,600 kg dry. The arrival of sound and four-tron in the market is not expected before 2014.
