The top Audi gave the green light to production of the Audi Quattro coupe will be realized in small series. Introduced last year in Paris as a concept, the future Audi sports coupe is a tribute to the homonymous - also known as the Urquattro - produced by the Ingolstadt brand from 1981 to 1990 and became famous for having won numerous world championships Rally, thanks to its fast acceleration and dynamic qualities offered by a good frame, powerful engines and sophisticated four-wheel drive.
According to reports the new sports car would debut on the German market in 2013, in the meantime continue testing the first prototype based on the Audio S5-strong 400-hp downloaded asphalt-wheel drive. Compared to the prototype presented at the Paris event, the production model of the "Four" should have a short wheelbase of 150 mm, while the weight will be held by the 1,300 kg (225 kg less than the sporty R8), thanks to the use solid carbon fiber composites combined with that used for the interiors.
