A few hours after having issued financial results for first quarter 2011, ended with over 1.1 million registrations in the world (best ever result), Chevrolet has streamed the virtual presentation of the new Malibu sedan three volumes intended to be sold in more than hundred nations and six continents.
This car uses the Epsilon II platform and measuring 4.86 meters in length, 1.85 in width and height in 1:46, revealing more compact than the generation in the process of retirement. Between the two shows in particular the difference in pitch, the new Malibu to see much shorter 11.4 cm (2.74m).
The sedan is also working on a tie trunk from 462 liters, while the interior is more massive than 113 liters compared to the old series. The scheme provides for a mechanical MacPherson front suspension and a multi-link rear. At launch, the Chevrolet Malibu is offered with the 2.5 Ecotec four-cylinder engine with direct injection and free of charge, for which the specifications are still unknown but should be at about 193 hp and 245 Nm is available only to the six-speed automatic transmission.
The marketing in North America will be active by 2012 and plans submitted a list organized according to the LS, LT and LTZ, with ten exterior colors and four colors for the interior. The characteristics of the European version will be announced in the coming months.
