After three months of the new Chrysler 300C took place at the NAIAS 2011 in Detroit, the House of Auburn Hill presented to the New York Motor Show 2011 (April 21-May 1), the 300C SRT8 version with vitamins - a powerful HEMI V8 with 465 CV - the flagship of the now well-known American manufacturer. The massive front of the SRT8 has a new honeycomb grille, black color, while the rear spoiler located on the trunk receives a trunk and a brand new air extractor that incorporates two sides to its chrome sports exhaust. A speech deserves the muscular side that expresses the strength and power of the car because of the alloy seven-spoke 20-inch and low profile of 38 mm.
The interior of the car reflect the aggressiveness found in the body, but it also refined details and luxurious materials such as leather interior nappa called "Foligno" Italy's Poltrana Frau, strictly signed with the SRT8 logo. The flat-bottom steering wheel and pedals are made of perforated aluminum, while some parts of the console and door panels are embellished with details in carbon fiber.
As for the technological equipment we point out the interesting "Performance Pages" available as an option: it is a particular feature, displayed on the 8.4 inch Touch UConnect multimedia system, able to bring a lot of useful information relating to values of the engine and driving dynamics.
The infotainment system also allows you to control the sophisticated hi-fi Harman Kardon, with as many as 19 speakers capable of emitting 900 watts and the navigation system from Garmin. Aesthetics "racing" and provided first level would fall into the background when you start to think about the powerful engine hiding under the hood of the 300C SRT8.
The 6.1-liter V8 (425 hp) that equipped the previous version of the SRT8 American sedan has been replaced by new units from 6.4-liter HEMI V8 that will release well 465 hp and 630 Nm of torque. These values can be able to squirt the car from 0 to 100 km / h in less than 5 seconds and it reaches a top speed exceeding 280 km / h.
The transmission used is a 5-speed automatic with sequential function steering wheel and sport button that increases the speed of change and the throttle response. According to the House, this new engine reduces by about 25% less fuel than the previous version, also enjoys the feature that allows you to turn 4 to 8 cylinders to optimize fuel consumption and emissions.

In Italy the new SRT8 will never come because of the presence of "twin" Lancia Thema, although it might be offered in the near future a version of this super sports car equipped with a powerful V8, even though they remain far the splendor of the legendary Thema 8.32 Ferrari 1987.
