Germany: Speed limits in the land of Porsche?

A few days after the resounding electoral exploits in the German state of Baden-Württemberg, representatives of the Green Party - the winners with 24.2% of the vote - have indicated their intention to introduce speed limits to 120 km / h along the local stretch of ' Autobahn. This decision is particularly significant as Porsche and Mercedes are both established in the region, referred to as the cradle of German automobiles.

"The pollution generated from traffic accounts for 30% of the total," said Winfried Kretschmann, the party secretary and future prime minister of the land.
