Hyundai in New York: an all-new Accent

Continue the rise of Hyundai renewing its products in record time and aims to conquer U.S. market with substantial shares of the new Accent. The Korean compact car debuted in his new role at 4 and 5-door at NYIAS New York and redefines the category in the delicate relationship between consumption and engine power.

Aesthetically, the new Accent incorporates stylistic elements that both have smiled on the ix35 and iX20 front thanks to a very personal and a carved sides. Between the two proposals, the 5-door is very close to European tastes, but also a 4-door has a remarkable stylistic balance. Under the hood beats a 1.6 liter engine with the highest power of the category, 138 hp and a torque of 123 Nm thanks to direct injection of gasoline and a system of variable valve timing both in the intake and the exhaust, this engine enables the Accent for about 730 km along the highway with a full tank of petrol.

Larger than the model it replaces, but not heavier, the new Korean car also has the ability to load and a best in class turning circle smaller than the main competition. It also features a world-class safety features both in the number of airbags, 6 well, helped by head restraints that prevent whiplash, and for the electronic controls that assist the driver during emergency braking and recovery operations more difficult.

Offered in three trim levels, the GLS 4-door GS and SE for the 5-door, the new Accent disappear from the list sees the 3-door version which was the entry level variant of the range.
