Mini Inspired by Goodwood: Rolls dreaming

Among the stars of the forthcoming exhibition in Shanghai in 2011 (21-28 April), there will be a special Mini Inspired by Goodwood, a special version of the small hatchback English signed by none other than the ultra-luxury car manufacturer Rolls Royce (both brands are part of the BMW Group), characterized by luxurious finishes and materials.

Inspired by the Mini Goodwood takes its name from the headquarters of Rolls Royce, where they are produced and assembled in a traditional British manufacturer of cars, after the historic factory in Crewe were to Bentley, since it broke away from the Rolls in 1998 to join Volkswagen orbit.

Aesthetically, the Mini comes with the classic form of supermini hatchback that boasts an original livery of the body available in Black Diamond or Blue Reef, both metallic, while the multi-spoke alloy wheels, specific to this car are 17 inch. The real highlight of this special compartment built into the Mini remains virtually tailoring and recognizable to the many commemorative plates: the top of the dashboard was covered in Nappa leather, console and door handles are embellished with walnut inserts made directly to Goodwood, the seats have high-quality leather cream lounge, and to carry out the headliner and upholstery you used a soft cashmere.

Obviously the range of accessories is worthy of a flagship. Among the accessories for comfort and safety are the xenon adaptive headlights, the device Park Distance Control, automatic climate control, trip computer and audio system Visual Radio MINI Boost, which includes high-fidelity speaker system signed by specialists Harman Kardon.

The choice of engine used on this special series that could not fall on the most powerful engine of the Mini range: we are talking about the compact 1.6-liter turbocharged engine capable of delivering well 184 hp and 240 Nm of torque which, according to data reported by the House result in acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 7 seconds flat, while the combined fuel consumption totaled about 5.8l/100km.

Inspired by the Mini Goodwood will be produced in just 1,000 built in the establishment of the British manufacturer located in Oxford. The first deliveries will start in the spring of 2012, while the price is still shrouded in mystery.
