New Ferrari 599 GTB: evolution proportional to that of Italy and 458 FF

Ferrari continues to tease the imagination of fans: According to an insider who works on the car that will replace the 599 GTB, the new V12 two-seater from Maranello will be a huge step forward from the current car. The fastest and most powerful ever built road from the house of the prancing horse, with a cavalry estimated at least 700 hp.

"If you look at where we are in transition from 430 to 458 Italy, 612 Scaglietti and the one from the FF, it is not difficult to imagine the potential of the new 599. We are not interested small step. " These are the words spoken by the deep gorge below the project. Words that confirm what you expect from the top of the range Ferrari, a car that will have to face the best of world sports which will undoubtedly be a landmark.

Another source close to the house confirmed that it would be very surprising if the car does not pull off a power of "at least" seven hundred horses. Species because it provides already FF 660 with its 6.3-liter V12 wild (+120 than the Scaglietti). Recent rumors also speak to a wide use of composite materials to increase performance el'handling.

The choice not to use carbon fiber for the construction of structural parts of the frame is, however, strongly against the current of the competition Lamborghini Sant'Agata's house, with the passenger cell in the CFRP Aventador has probably paved the way use of composite load-bearing portions of the frame.

One feature that is likely to end up on the new V10 of the bull and probably also on the new generation of Audi R8: all in order to share costs and lower costs. The easing of the last V12 Lamborghini has been very consistent. It will be interesting to see what the Maranello strategy to achieve the same result for less.
