Suspended a student of engineering in a bikini for charity

In Canada, a young student of Engineering University of Waterloo has been photographed in a bikini next to a prototype race car he built with his team. The young man in question has made the photo shoot in order to participate in a beauty contest aimed at raising funds for the treatment of breast cancer.

A noble cause, then, but it is not sufficient to avoid the suspension by the Faculty Council with the team, which in May was to participate in a race with other universities in North America. The university authorities have justified the suspension by the fact that you've made a "misuse of car design center to take unauthorized photographs.

The Director added that the faculty, students did not understand that these images - that have been put online by a member of the team - would have debased the engineering work done. " Do not forget that the University of Waterloo has spent considerable sums of money and years of work to create this design department in the automotive field.

Defenders of these photographs have instead argued that it was no match is particularly scandalous that a woman and a car helps give a positive message, especially in a world - and engineering - populated mostly by men. Not to mention that the shot had a very important charitable purpose.
