BMW's new intelligent lighting systems

BMW announces two new and interesting lighting technologies: the first device, the system Dynamic Spot Light, uses an infrared sensor (sensitive to the heat from the bodies) to recognize people or animals that are located 100 meters from the front of the car and it projects a beam of light to alert the driver.

The technology will soon be offered with Night Vision Package. I wonder if BMW has noted that some animals, if dazzled, they tend to paralyze their position until the light is not distract. The same, not dazzled, but could get away from the road heard the noise of the car approaching. However, in theory, a driver sees danger ahead should react faster with benefits in terms of handling and braking.

The other first-fruits technique developed by the German manufacturer is the adaptive system evolved night lighting (glare-free high beam assistant). A special sensor mounted on the face of the rearview mirror facing the windshield, detects the amount of ambient light by adjusting the light output of the plant bi-xenon.

Also recognized are the vehicles that come up to 1000 meters and above those up to 500: this allows you to adjust the main beam of the headlights so the driver of the other vehicle is not blinded. On newer models of the range is now available a system of built-in LED light unit with adaptive functions and activities.

Also increase the contrast visible on the illuminated objects, with clear benefits for those who drive often at night.
