Ford expands engine factory in China for 700 000 units

The start of construction for a new engine factory in China announced today the U.S. manufacturer Ford in Dearborn. The Ford passenger car joint venture in China - Changan Ford Mazda Automobile (CFMA) Chongqing created in a modern manufacturing plant with an investment of 500 million U.S. dollars (350 million €).

With production starting 2013, the new factory to produce 750,000 engines annually. The motors are used for Ford models or sold in China. Ford plant in China to double by the middle of the decade the number of employees and its dealers. (Ampnet / Sm)
