GM cancels crossover plug-in hybrid

After having officially announced the launch, General Motors has in fact removed from its agenda the development of a plug-in hybrid vehicle based on the Cadillac SRX. According to some sources close to the team that was working on the project, the American car manufacturer had decided to stop the development of ecological crossover especially for the fact that the car was not very convenient from the economic point of view.

After careful assessment of the market and, above all, timing needed to complete it, GM has in fact concluded that the crossover hybrid plug-in, built on the same floor of the SRX and using the technology of the Chevrolet Volt, it would have been more or less completed in period of formal submission of a new generation of SRX and may therefore be a car "dated" before you even see the light.

Despite GM's spokesman, Kevin Kelly, has not officially confirmed the entire story, refusing even to answer any questions on this, however, is not excluded that in future the project could be taken up again, perhaps using a newer platform.
