New Fiat Panda 2012, premiere in Frankfurt

The next Frankfurt Motor Show, scheduled for September 15 to 25, will see the debut of the new Fiat Panda in 2012. The city car in Turin, in its third generation, will have a new design but will not appear distorted in style. The lines are taken from current and updated a bit more graceful. It should be not so different from one product model for the Brazilian market.

As for the mechanics, the platform will be the one already used on the new Lancia Ypsilon and inherited by the current Panda with a longer wheelbase of 10 cm. Use the Twin 900 cc twin-cylinder engines offering three levels of power: 65, 85 and 105 hp. The 85 hp version will be available with the Natural Power supply natural gas.

The new Panda, for which the Fiat Group has invested 900 million euro, will be produced at the Pomigliano d'Arco. Are estimated to 300 thousand units per year and sales will begin in early 2012.
