The new Beetle will now be booked in the United States in a special limited edition of 600 copies, called Black Turbo Edition Lauch, ordered by paying a deposit of $ 495. The first deliveries will start in September, a month ahead of the rest of the range of the Beetle in 2012, while the list price will be $ 24,950 excluding taxes.
Aesthetically, the "Black Turbo Edition Lauch" stands for a truly comprehensive range of accessories that highlight its sports: it starts from the exclusive black pearl livery in combination with 18-inch alloy wheels with high-gloss finish, from which sprout larger brakes with red calipers, as well as the rear spoiler positioned at the base of the windscreen and side adhesive bands that carry the term "turbo." The interiors reflect the aggressiveness of the body through the adoption of carbon-fiber trim adorning the dashboard and center console and sports seats with profiled edges.
The fittings offer standard features including an audio system with 8 speakers, CD player and auxiliary input and USB. The new Volkswagen Beetle will be equipped with a powerful, compact 2.0-liter TSI capable of 200 horsepower, mated to a sophisticated dual-clutch gearbox DSG. After the summer's bid Beetle 2012 for the American market will expand with the introduction of an entry-level 2.5-liter 170 hp mated to a five-speed manual transmission, and proposed at a price of $ 18,995 plus tax .
