Aventador Lamborghini LP 700-4: Superb

The early we were already informed about technological solutions that would characterize the Lamborghini supercar: Having its debut in Geneva today, the opening day of the release, the LP 700-4 Aventador not disappoint as by the innovative monocoque carbon fiber. Its special feature is the bringing together into a single structure, the passenger cell, floor and roof to get a reference to structural rigidity.

The Aventador, which is named after a famous bull awarded for bravery during a bullfight, is counting on a new 12-cylinder engine from 6.5 liters and 700 horsepower with a maximum torque of 690 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The dry weight is only 1,575 kg and the step from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 350 km / h.

But despite the power increase (+8%) the values of consumption and CO2 emissions are down by 20 percent over the previous model. The ISR provides automatic gearbox changes very fast while the push rod suspension system offers a precision equal to that of driving racing cars. Traction is Permanent, assisted by the transfer case that delivers adequate Haldex torque between front and rear wheels as needed.

The system offers the Drive Mode Select mode "Road", "Sport" and "Race" to select different configurations of engine management, transmission, distribution of torque at the wheels and steering. The look is impressive because of its extreme and unique design language: 4.78 meters long, 2.26 wide and only 1.136 meters high, the Aventador has unusual proportions.

The doors are open upward, like the legendary Countach. The interior, ergonomically designed denote exclusivity coupled with high technology and advanced equipment. The materials used are of high quality and every detail is made with great care. The instrumentation includes a central interactive display TFT LCD and a second screen at the center of the dashboard displays the features of multimedia and navigation systems fitted as standard.

Deliveries of the new supercar will commence from late summer 2011. The price was set at € 255,000 plus taxes.
