Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet Tiguan and Restyling - Geneva Motor Show Live 2011

Volkswagen has presented at a press conference today, the Tiguan and the Golf Cabriolet Restyling. For all other concepts, including the new Concept Bulli, there was a separate event, but we still picked up live images of the car. Same procedure for the concept by Giugiaro, who will dedicate a space dedicated in the afternoon.

Then focused on the product, Volkswagen has stressed the importance of convertible 4 seats in its range, again suggesting the fabric roof (which opens in just 9.5 seconds up to 30 km / h) and abandoning the classic roll bar central. The Golf Cabriolet also has a windshield more sloped than the models 3 and 5 doors and a 250 liter bagaglaio.

The diesel and gasoline engines offer a power range between 105 and 210 hp, with BlueMotion versions and dual-clutch DSG transmission. The Volkswagen Tiguan restyled again instead on the basis of the success of the first generation, sold 572,000 copies in well. The changes have been primarily aesthetic, aligning the front to the family feeling of the group and updating the engine with an average reduction in consumption of 0.7 l/100 km.

The gasoline engines deliver power between 122 and 210 hp, while the diesel versions offering from 110 to 170 hp. As for the wait Bulli concept, Volkswagen has decided to start again from the original design of the Transporter T1 in 1950 and revisit its characteristic appearance in a modern way, with the technical content needed for today.

The result is a concept that will change soon in a production model, with special attention habitability despite its compact size: 3.99 meters long, 1.75 wide and 1.70 high. Electric propulsion is guaranteed by a motor of 85 kW and 270 Nm of torque with 40 kWh lithium battery, capable of providing 300 km of autonomy, 140 km / h top speed and 0-100 in 11.4 seconds, thanks the weight within the threshold of 1500 kg.

Volkswagen has announced that it will propose, however, the Bulli with internal combustion engines of latest generation petrol and diesel.
