De Tomaso Deauville: welcome back

SLC was first, then became SLS. Now I finally have a final name: De Tomaso Deauville, just like the 4-door sedan and three volumes of the '70s. Unlike the models of 40 years ago but it is not a normal sedan, but a sort of crossover between an SUV and hybrid luxury flagship, with four-wheel drive. The new chassis is aluminum and is designed with UNIVIS technology, which involves the use of aluminum and cruises printed and sealed, by which you can greatly reduce cost and weight (the total mass of 1,850 kg of Deauville ).

The measures are impressive: long 5.08 m wide, 1.95 high 1.63 me me with a pitch of 2.95 m, the De Tomaso Deauville does not go unnoticed, even if the style (by Pininfarina) is very classical. Then there are elements in common with the great De Tomaso of the past as the front grille with the wrench.

The cabin, assembled by hand, is full of leather, Alcantara and carbon, and space is available to passengers. Even your luggage can be comfortable with the volume of cargo it is less than 700 liters. We already knew of the engines, although some details were missing. Well, now we have all the data.

At the beginning of the marketing Deauville will have a 2.8-liter V6 turbo 300 hp provided by General Motors, coupled with a 6-speed automatic transmission, which transmits the motion to all four wheels. The numbers show that the acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is covered in 6.7 seconds and top speed (electronically limited) is 250 km / h.

Later will come later version with 500 hp V8 and a more "modest" 250-hp V6. Prices will range between 90,000 and 130,000 €, depending on the options and production will begin in September, with a regimen of 15 units per day in two factories: Grugliasco (assembly) and Livorno (final stage and painting).
