Gumpert has made public the first official images of its new supercar, the Tornante by Touring car that will join the Apollo in its public offering. The Tornante by Touring will be the first car built by Gumpert to take its own steps in the field of the super sports car, comes conceptually by Apollo, which it shares with the central engine, but characterized by a distinctly sporty look that combines a lot of work on weight reduction.
The frame of the Apollo has been lowered by 80 mm and has changed fundamentally in the odds and angles on this new Tornante by Touring, while the length was increased, making time to 4:47 m, is instead to be diminished width, 1.97 meters, and should weigh approximately 1.300/1.400 kg. The Gumpert Tornante is powered by a supercharged V8 engine from 4.2 CC with twin turbo Audi junction can generate over 700 PS of maximum power and 900 Nm of torque, the latter available from 4,000 rpm rotation.
But not yet reported performance, we only know that it should exceed 300 km / h top speed.
