Japan Nuclear Earthquake 2011: Car potentially radioactive?

In Japan, after the terrible earthquake of a few weeks ago, the nuclear power plant in Fukushima reported extensive damage. The radiation in the area came to a hundred times above the safety threshold and now the main problem is the contamination of food and water, as well as material goods. It is worrying that the radioactivity can absorb special apparatus, machines and everything in general is exported from Japan.

Even the cars are in band to watch. But cars that are exported can be very radioactive and therefore harmful to the health of citizens? In Italy the problem is more for the cars that are not Japanese, that is, those benefiting from Japanese components. So far, the analysis took place after the March 11 persons have been away from Japan, and then had a radiation exposure to the plant in Fukushima, were so radiation above normal, but with a health risk to nearby zero.

The most serious problems are certainly near the area of nuclear power and for those who are far away, and that may come into contact with other people, it is only a level of radiation comparable to that of a chest plate. Same problem for passenger cars. If these are near the nuclear radiation levels could rise, but now the risk of a possible "escape" from Japan of radiation through material goods is minimal.
