Jeep: planning a crossover segment B

Jeep is preparing to expand (much) down its current offering: as reported today by Autocar, through an alliance with Fiat, the brand of the Chrysler Group in the future will offer a brand new mini-SUV, expected for 2013. "There is certainly room in the market for a crossover SUV segment B," said Mike Manley quote, number one brand in Geneva.

"We are already working on a project capable of responding to that type of need, and we expect to take the car on the market in 2013." Manley, continuing the description of the product, focused on the engine range, which will be entirely made up of units Fiat MultiAir the 1.4 and 1.3 and 1.6 MultiJet II.

The model will be available in both front-wheel drive or in full, but the lion's share in terms of the sales take place the first of the two alternatives, of course. We therefore start from a platform point of the segment of Ages, but the four wheel drive were described by Manley "absolute necessity".

Like other products in this niche, from the Mini Countryman, even the little Jeep will the ability to customize a strategic weapon. The design apparently is a good point on the path towards complete definition: "Imagine a slightly scaled down, softened and updated dela Wrangler radiator grille and headlights and you have a good idea of what will come out."
