Mazda and Honda suspend orders for American cars imported from Japan

Mazda has suspended all orders of U.S. citizens for cars coming from Japan. The current situation of the Mazda is very difficult because production has stagnated in Japan and other key issues are, the Fukushima nuclear power plant in the first place. It is not known when normal production will resume regularly.

Mazda U.S. imports almost everything from Japan, except for the Mazda6. Stop orders, therefore, the Mazda2, the Mazda3, the Mazda5, MX-5, the RX-8, the CX7 and CX9. Mazda has made an official statement which is reassuring customers that have already ordered the U.S. since the stock Mazda products so far are sufficient to meet deliveries.

Honda also announced this week it will suspend orders for American cars to be imported from Japan: these include the CR-V, Fit, CR-Z, the Civic Hybrid, the Acura TSX el'Acura RL.
