Techno Classica: Škoda celebrates 110 years Motorsports

At the Techno Classica Essen (30.3. -3.4. 2011) celebrates Škoda 110 years of motor sport. 1901 Václav Laurin and Václav Klement sent - the two founding fathers of today's automobile manufacturer Škoda for the first time a two-wheeler into the race. The aim was to make the brand, based in Bohemia Mladá Boleslav and, thereby, increase sales.

The lovingly crafted vehicles Škoda demonstrates the world's leading classical music industry in food product from 1901 to 2001, representing ten decades of motoring history. The exhibits include three rare motorcycles from the pioneering days, which will be the first time on the stand to see in food.

They come from a private collection as well as the Škoda Le Mans racing car of 1950. These cars come from the factory museum in Mladá Boleslav. Is presented next to a Laurin & Klement Racing Car (built 1920/21) and the open sports car in 1100 OHC (Year 1957) and the Octavia WRC Safari version (built in 2001).

On the Skoda stand in Hall 7 (Stand 210) also invites an intimate "garden cafe" visitors to stay.
