Vladimir Antonov, Russian banker of the major funders of the operation that led to detect Spyker Saab by General Motors, has revealed during an interview with the Swedish financial daily Dagens Industri reported by Reuters, and that Saab will center its objectives 2011. Saab, according to Antonov, sold only 60,000 to 65,000 cars this year, closing at levels significantly lower than the 80,000 predicted.
Eric Geers, director of communications of the Scandinavian house, said he could not comment specifically Antonov's claims, stressing, however, as Saab is following the dictates of the business plan and that the share of 80,000 cars is not currently his main focus. "At Saab we are going forward, we are following the business plan we have set ourselves.
Sales targets are not currently our primary goals. Our primary goal is to continue in the business plan and enforce the financial parameters, "said Geers.
