With the concept car Toyota FT-86 II provides a second interpretation of the coupe with front engine and rear wheel drive developed with the help of Subaru, to be presented within the next six months after a management quite difficult. The sport of the three ellipses measuring 4.23 meters long, 1.79 wide and 1.27 in height for a step of 2.57.
Under the hood is placed a 2.0-liter boxer engine from Subaru coupled to a six-speed manual transmission, while the aerodynamic solutions using techniques borrowed from Formula 1. Toyota also states that its new coupe's compact dimensions, low weight and a favorable disposition of gravity.
The FT 86 series will be marketed in Europe starting in early 2012.
