Beijing: Start of a new lottery license plates

In the era of mass motorization, where every family has often more than two cars available, which also happens to be able to register a new car is tantamount to winning the lottery and not really a way of saying, as they know motorists Beijing. In an attempt to reduce city traffic, the authorities at the summit in the Chinese capital have decided to authorize a limited number of registrations, which in 2011 amounted to a total of 240,000.

It goes without saying, therefore, that the competition for one of the precious plates is made available to lock-out, with the risk of creating controversy and accusations among the residents. So, to avoid disputes, the leaders thought that the most "democratic" for the distribution of the plates is to assign them by lottery.

For the people of Beijing and then Lady Luck does not distribute cash prizes but license plates, just as happened in the two lotteries held in January and February, while the third will be held soon and will allocate 17,600 new number plates against a number of participants about 400,000 people: many are in fact those who are booked to the entries closed in early March.
