Toyota in "green" Rallye Monte Carlo success

The Monte Carlo Rally for alternative drives with 108 cars is the biggest rally for low-CO2 technologies in Europe. It took place this year for the fifth time, the race ran from 1 to 3 April in the Southern Alps of the French countryside. Among other things successfully at the start: Toyota - the winner in the uniformity of scoring.

In the examination, won Raymond Durand / Vialar Bernard (France) Toyota Auris hybrid team before Agehm / Conti (Italy) Honda CRZ and Massimo Beltrami / Giovanni Merzari (Switzerland), also on Auris hybrid. At a first rally were used to the car and the Yokohama tires specially developed for hybrid cars "BluEarth.

Approved for the rally were (except for one category), only vehicles with an emission of less than 115 CO2g/km. By means of a ratio of vehicle weight, CO2 emissions, energy density of the fuel consumption calculated and the organizers comparable values between the classes - and also the general classification.
