BMW Brilliance Automotive presents the show in the Shanghai New Energy Concept Vehicle, a 5 Series LWB Plug-in Hybrid. This is a prototype of the long wheelbase model sold only in China, with the latest solutions ActiveHybrid the German manufacturer and intended to go into production for the Chinese market in 2013.
The TwinPower Turbo engine with 160 kW is coupled to an electric motor 70 kW: it can push the car to 60 km / h constant for about 75 km, while thanks to the engine upgrades are available 400 km of autonomy.
