A fifth special series of the BMW M3, exclusive to China, is ready to debut. This is the M3Matte Edition, version for the Chinese market, following the previous limited editions Competition (out in Japan only), Frozen Grey Edition (exclusive to the U.S.), the Pure Edition (sold in Australia) and Tiger Edition, which has played the role of a forerunner for the special series for M3 to China.
Also for the Matte Edition is the project created last summer for the Tiger Edition external lines inspired in a decisive manner to the M3 GTS, which it resumed the sporty look, from the air intakes on the bonnet. The BMW M3 Matte Edition reports on a stylistic level, the choice of painting the car body in matt color (black or gray two colors available), according to the recent fashion for multi-spoke wheels 19 "with a glossy finish contrast with the style of bodywork brake calipers painted in red and the presence in the cockpit, numerous carbon elements.
What remains "in its place" is the engine of the BMW M3 "European", ie the V8 4 liters and 420 hp, which allows the M3 accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in just over 4 seconds, combined with the change to double-clutch seven-speed M Double Clutch (M-DTC).
