In the sound Techday 2011, the German company has presented many solutions for their series products and future related to the use of CFRP and aluminum body panels and structural parts. The ongoing research will in fact reduce the cost of these materials and will ensure the safety standards required: at present one of the first models to make full use of these solutions is the R8 GT, but in the video we see a prototype TTS with low weight of 80 kg and above all a brand new Audi A5: The car is equipped with fiber bodywork and other solutions that lower the weight up to 1400 kg, while the hood has been installed resulted in the 2.5 TFSI 408 hp compared to 340 hp offered on the TT RS and RS3.
