BMW announced the specifications of the most unexpected April Fool's joke, early in recent weeks by some laconic spy photos. The M3 Pick-Up is repeating the same motor assembly / powertrain found in the various M3 range, driven by eight-cylinder power of 4.0 with 420 hp and matched to a six-speed manual transmission.
According to official information reported by Autocar this car could reach a top speed of 300 km / h, thanks to lower weight of 50 pounds compared to an M3 convertible and the drag coefficient is more favorable compared to the value of the M3 Coupe. The box allows you to stow 450 pounds of material and can be closed using a special folding seat, while the aluminum insert that transforms the car plate weighs 20 pounds.
The interior adopts the same characterization of M3 "standard", but provides a special sticker indicating the uniqueness of the project.
