F1: Ferrari studying for Malaysia

Filed the first Grand Prix season with a benefit only fair, Ferrari aims to prompt redemption in Malaysia and is working to bridge the gap with the more stable ball. The idea of technical Maranello is to achieve a significant improvement in qualifications, in order to take full advantage of the good performance of the "red" during the race.

"After the race in Australia we have devoted so much time analyzing the data acquired in Melbourne. If there's one thing is clear - says the deputy technical director Pat Fry - is that our race pace was much better performance in qualification. Much is due to the way in which our machine uses the tires, so this analytical work has been dedicated to improving the handling of the car over one lap, comparing it with that on the distance.

We have also worked on another factor, aerodynamics, trying to figure out how to bring out more effectively the potential of the car. As a result, we have defined an extensive test program to be carried out in Malaysia. " So, Friday will be a decisive day and practice will be used to calibrate the car ahead of qualifying on Saturday delicate.

Once again, everything revolves around the Pirelli compounds and their performance as a function of temperature. In Malaysia will reach even the small details which would increase the aerodynamic efficiency performance of Ferrari. "We will have three or four small changes, and probably there will be more updates coming in three days that separate Malaysia and China." We hope that, beyond the proclamations of good intentions, the Scuderia Ferrari can count on a car that will allow its pilots to fight for victory.
