Nissan: mandatory controls on the level of radiation

The warning of radioactive contamination, caused by damage of the nuclear reactor in Fukushima Japan, Nissan has pushed the leaders of radiation protection to carry out stringent checks on vehicles intended for export to foreign markets such as North American. In recent days, the association of the Japanese (Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association) had repeatedly assured consumers that cars built in Japan were free from any kind of nuclear contamination.

Evidently this type of recommendations should not have been enough for the manufacturer to Yokohama, since the beginning of meticulous checks of all cars assembled in the plant of Yokosuka, located 40 kilometers from the capital Tokyo. In fact - according to rumors - some cars from this factory were testing positive and then were put into "quarantine" before undergoing a thorough decontamination.

In fact, the checks in question are part of a preventive strategy, driven more or less indirectly by North American and European countries, seeking to reassure buyers, so as not to worsen the plight of the tax imposed on the entire Japanese industry and especially the automotive sector.

This fact has been a significant slowdown in its production because of damage done by many establishments that are located in the district hardest hit by the earthquake and tsunami.
